[fonosfera] usb-serial problems with ch341

Hi All,

I've successfully build some of the openwrt usb-serial modules. I'm now 
trying to get these up and running.
The ch341 module (kmod-usb-serial-ch341_2.6.26.2-fonera2-1_mips.ipk) 
compiles ok, but gives error upon inserting:

insmod: cannot insert '/lib/modules/2.6.26.2/ch341.ko': unknown symbol 
in module (-1): No such file or directory
the '/lib/modules/2.6.26.2/ch341.ko' is in the right spot, so that;s not 
it. I've also set it chmod 777 just to make sure.

If I reboot the fonera with the device plugged in it reports:
ch341: Unknown symbol malloc_sizes

can anyone tell me how to fix this or how to get better info on what is 
going wrong?
